March 31 - Fish Fry: 4-7:30 p.m. St. Adalbert Parish, 3305 St. Adalbert Road, Rosholt. Fish or Shrimp or Combo is $14, Children's Fish or Shrimp is $10. Includes choice of potato, coleslaw, and bread. Coffee & milk included in the dining room, domestic & craft beers and flavored malt beverages available. Large & weekly raffle. April 2 - Easter Egg Hunt: 1 p.m. Tigerton Community Park, Tigerton. All children ages toddler through third grade are welcome to attend. Door prizes, filled eggs, and treats will be available, and attendees can meet the Easter Bunny. The event is sponsored by the Embarrass River Lions, Town of Morris. Parents must pre-register by March 25 by calling 715-326-0369.

April 2 - Wittenberg Lions Pancake Brunch: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wittenberg High School, 400 W Grand Ave., Wittenberg. Cost is $10 for ages 13 and older, $8 for children ages 8-12, and free for children under 6 years old. Funds from the brunch  will go to Wittenberg-Birnamwood student scholarships.

April 8 - Polonia Park Easter Egg Hunt: Noon-1 p.m. Polonia Park, 1687 County Road Z, Custer. Age limit is 10 years old. Bring your own chairs. Basket Raffles available with all proceeds to benefit the Polonia Park Improvement. Sponsored by The Polonia Park Committee.

April 8 - Easter Egg Hunt: Noon. Rosholt Fair Park, 186 Forest Street, Rosholt. Open to ages 10 & under. Eggs, baskets, toys, bike give-a-ways, with a special appearance byt he Easter Bunny. Donations are appreciated. Also collecting items for the Rosholt Food Pantry.

April 8 - Tomorrow River Business Association Easter Egg Hunt: Jensen Community Center, 487 N Main Street, Amherst.

April 14 - Keys for Kids Dueling Piano Fundraiser: 8-11 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.), Rosholt Fairgrounds, 186 W Forest Street, Rosholt. Snacks, cash bar, basket raffle, free drink with each ticket. $40 per person for advance purchase, $50 per person at the door, $500 for a VIP table that is reserved and seats 8. April 15 - Tigerton Music Department 2nd Annual Mattress Sale Fundraiser: 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tigerton High School, 213 Spaulding Street, Tigerton.

April 15 - Tomorrow River Variety Show: 7 p.m. Jensen Community Center, 487 N Main Street, Amherst. Admission at the door: $5 for adults, $3 for students.

April 16 - Pancake Breakfast: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tigerton Community Center, 221 Birch Street, Tigerton. Potato & Buttermilk pancakes. $10 per person (ages 6-12 $5 eat in only). All carry outs are $10. Sponsored by Schlender-Polley Post 239 American Legion & Auxiliary Tigerton. Proceeds for community projects.

April 23 - Spring Buffet Luncheon: 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Zion Lutheran Church, 511 Spaulding Street, Tigerton. Cost is $10 for ages 13 and older, $7 for children ages 8-12, and free for children 7 years old and under.

April 28-29 - Rosholt High School Drama Department presents "The Egg and I": 7 p.m. Rosholt High School Auditorium, 346 W Randolph Street, Rosholt. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $3 for K-12 students. Tickets available at the door one hour prior to performances.

April 29 - Amherst Alive Worship Night: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Amherst Opera House, 207 N Main Street, Amherst. Free event.

May 20 - Amish Quilt & Furniture Auction: 8 a.m. Amherst Fairgrounds, 4504 Fairgrounds Road, Amherst. Amish quilts & furniture are auctioned. Baked goods, food, and refreshments available for purchase. For more information, call 715-570-7749.

June 11 - 120th Anniversary Picnic: 12:30-5 p.m.  Enjoy an outdoor pot luck picnic on the north lawn of the Amherst Opera House Company to celebrate the 120th Anniversary of the Amherst Opera House Company. The original Amherst Opera House Company was formed on June 10, 1902. For more information, call 715-321-0122 or email info@amherstoperahouse.com

June 25 - Iola Historical Society Strawberry Fest: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Iola Historical Village & Historical Society, 210 Depot Street, Iola. Includes strawberry shortcake with ice cream and other food items, tours of the society's vintage buildings, an antiques appraisal fair, and a craft show.

July 6-8 - Iola Car Show & Swap Meet: Gates open daily at 7 a.m. Iola Car Show Grounds, 350 Chrome Place, Iola.

July 13-16 - Portage County Fair: Amherst Fairgrounds, 4504 Fairgrounds Road, Amherst.

July 28-30 - National Antique Tractor Pull & Thresheree: Symco Thresheree Grounds, E6231 State Road 22, Manawa. Tractor pull, antique tractor display, country music concert, food and fun. For more information, call 920-757-6995.

July 29 - Amherst Alive Worship Night: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Amherst Opera House, 207 N Main Street, Amherst. Free event.

Aug. 4-6 - Scandinavia Corn Roast: Daily admission. Ellision Park, 110 Industrial Park Drive, Scandinavia.

Aug. 19-20 - Little Britches Rodeo: Amherst Fairgrounds, 4504 Fairgrounds Road, Amherst.

Aug. 26 - Amish Quilt & Furniture Auction: 8 a.m. Amherst Fairgrounds, 4504 Fairgrounds Road, Amherst. Amish quilts & furniture are auctioned. Baked goods, food, and refreshments available for purchase. For more information, call 715-570-7749.

Sept. 9 - Celebrate Amherst Music and Craft Festival: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Downtown Amherst. Music plays until dark.

Oct. 7 - Taste of Norway and Lost Arts Fest: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Iola Historical Village & Historical Society, 210 Depot Street, Iola. For more information call: 715-445-4005. Featuring traditional Norwegian pastries and lefse, displays of Norwegian artifacts, a craft show and much more. Enjoy exploring Iola Historic Village and Museums.

Oct. 21 - Lutefisk Supper, Norwegian Bake Sale & Craft Sale: 12:30-6:30 p.m. Northland Lutheran Church, N9880 State Road 49, Iola. Served family style, attendees can sample lutefisk, lefse, meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy, buttered carrots, cole slaw, cranberries and Norwegian pastries. Tickets are $14 for adults, $4 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for those 5 and under.Baked goods and craft items will be for sale. For more information, call 715-445-2956.

Dec. 2 - Tomorrow River Christmas Craft Show: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Jensen Community Center, 487 N Main Street, Amherst. This is a boutique-style craft show with a general checkout area. There are several rooms full of crafts by various crafters and artists.
