Welcome to Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative
Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative is a member-owned, not-for-profit distribution cooperative located in Rosholt, WI. Established in 1938 by local citizens to bring electricity to rural families, farms and businesses. We provide electricity to approximately 7,100 members on 1,500 miles of electric lines in Central Wisconsin. We serve parts of Portage, Waupaca, Marathon, and Shawano counties.
The Co-op is governed by a Board of Directors elected by its members. We are founded on seven principles that still guide us today. Our goal is to provide safe, reliable electric service at the best possible price. In addition to meeting your electric needs, we are pleased to offer a variety of products and services designed to enhance the quality of life in rural central Wisconsin.
