2019 Member Photo Contest

“Life in Rural Wisconsin”

Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative is holding our annual photo contest for members’ photos to be featured in our 2020 calendar.  Winning photos may be used in future newsletters or cooperative publications.

Geothermal Tax Credit Reinstated

We’ve got good news for those considering a geothermal heat pump – the 30% federal tax credit has been reinstated until December 31, 2019.  For those that purchased a system in 2017 you may be eligible for a tax credit as the reinstatement is retroactive to January 1, 2017.

The tax credit amount will slightly decrease in 2020 and 2021 as a phasing out process.

Energy Efficiency Rebates Available

Did you know your cooperative offers rebates for energy efficiency upgrades?  If not, we’re pleased to inform you we offer rebates for all sorts of upgrades including Energy Star appliance purchases, insulation, new windows, heat pumps, alternative water heaters, LED lighting and much more. 

2019 Electric Utility Worker Scholarship

We are proud and excited to offer a $1000 Electric Utility Works Scholarship to an applicant pursing a post-secondary education in an electric line worker program. To be eligible, either the student or parents must have their primary residence located on CWEC lines.

Scholarship application deadline is Friday, May 3, 2019.

Employment Opportunities-Communications Intern

Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative is looking for a highly motivated team member to join our Rosholt Office at 10401 Lystul Road as a Communications Intern for fall 2019.  Minimum qualifications include: knowledge of marketing concepts,public relations techniques, computer related software knowledge, research and writing skills, and social media skills.

2019 Scholarship Application

We offer scholarships funded through our Operation Round Up program.  Co-op members or their dependent children who are or will be attending college including technical college are eligible to apply.  Scholarships are awarded in April and paid upon submission of first semester grades.

Available to new applicants and repeat applicants.

Toys for Tots

Each year the co-op partners with the U.S. Marine Corp Reserve and area businesses to help put smiles on area children's faces on Christmas.  We work directly with the schools to get the names of the kids in need and deliver the toys. 

Food Pantry Collection

Participate in our Food Pantry Drive and Receive a FREE LED

Bring 3 or more non-perishable food items and receive a FREE LED bulb.  Limit of five bulbs per family.

Please check the expiration date on the food items, we cannot accept expired food items.
